AW 189 CO-PILOT

British International Helicopters are seeking applications for the position of AW 189 SAR Co-Pilot to work within a close-knit professional team providing Search and Rescue services primarily to British Forces South Atlantic Islands and also the wider Falkland Islands community.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining familiarity with relevant United Kingdom air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.
  • Maintaining familiarity and adherence to such provisions of the Company Operations Manual as are necessary to fulfil his/her function.
  • Observation, maintenance and compliance of Company SOP’s
  • Monitoring pilot handling, aircraft limitations, aircraft performance, fuel checks, navigation, terrain clearance and overall safe conduct of the flight.
  • Aircraft handling as required by the Captain.
  • Volunteering advice, information and assistance to the Captain as required.
  • Maintaining a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the Company.
  • Supporting the Captain by active example, in the development and maintenance of high standards of professional expertise, discipline and morale.

Requirements:

  • Valid CAA/EASA ATPL(H)/CPL(H).
  • Valid MP AW189 type rating.
  • SAR experience.
  • NVIS experience.
