Air Italy to enter liquidation and cease operations
Air Italy is to cease all operations and be placed into liquidation by its shareholders.
The carrier announced that from February 11 to February 25 its flights will be operated by other carriers at the times already scheduled.
Air Italy lost around 200 million euros in 2019, according to Bloomberg.
It had three of the grounded B737 Max aircraft in its fleet.
Italy’s flag carrier Alitalia is also struggling, with a minister recently claiming it loses 2 million euros (£1.71 million) a day.
